On the 18th March 2025, CFMEU National Secretary, Zach Smith, called an emergency meeting of Victorian CFMEU construction Shop Stewards. The meeting of over 500 delegates, unanimously passed a series of resolutions drawing a line in the sand against violence against women, corruption and criminality, and outlined a new framework to enhance the role of Shop Stewards.
