Victorian traffic control workers have been injured and lost their lives recently in senseless and tragic workplace accidents. Our condolences go out to these workers’ families, friends and workmates.

Employers are responsible for making sure that risks to workers’ health and safety are managed and eliminated by applying the most effective safety controls. All worker deaths can be prevented if the right protections are in place.  This OHS Alert includes examples of what employers must do to protect traffic control workers from fatal incidents and accidents.
