CFMEU Members talk gendered violence

Published: 11 Oct 2017

“That’s what the CFMEU do. We look after workers. Doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, black, white, green, gay, straight – whatever. That’s what we do. We look after workers.”

CFMEU members talked to We Are Union Women about how gendered violence is injuring workers, every day. We know that violence is perpetrated against women workers, simply because they are women. It’s not on.

Employers won’t act unless we make them act, and we need the tools to be able to force their hand.

Join We Are Union Women on the 24th November where they’ll launch a revamped campaign kit, which will include a gendered violence at work enterprise bargaining clause.

Ministers Robin Scott and Natalie Hutchins will both be speaking – and seats are sure to fill up quickly! RSVP here to lock down your seat: unionwomen.org.au/gendered_violence_at_work_action
