OHS&E
Introducing the CFMEU OHS&E Unit:
The CFMEU Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Unit (OHS&E) Unit calls upon and utilizes the specialist skills, knowledge and experience of a number of highly trained and experienced CFMEU officials – especially in high-risk industry sectors – including (but obviously not limited to…) cranes, scaffolding, rigging, precast, demolition, asbestos and civil/infrastructure works – and everything else that comes under the banner of our “building and construction industry”.
The unit is managed by Dr Gerry Ayers. Garry Donnan, Rob Smits and Matt Boreland are also OHS specialists who all bring a wealth of OHS and industry knowledge, skills and experience to every situation and circumstance.
The OHS&E Unit gives you and all workers a voice and say in how we work now and how we’ll work in the future of this industry. We’re here to make sure you go all home safe and healthy at the end of your shift – no matter what work you do, no matter what job you’re on…
