It took a PIN notice and the threat of prosecution for Fulton Hogan to release a damning Vic Roads report that reveals asbestos and toxic chemical contamination at the EJ Whitten Bridge site in Sunshine.

Fulton Hogan’s safety manager even admits he hadn’t fully read the report, which stated that landfill material “are likely to pose a human health risk to on-site construction workers during road widening activities.”

While the job has been stopped for some time, there is public access through the site and local residents have also been affected.
